Faith is NOT the way to God’s heart; we already have His heart (He already loved and loves us). Faith is the way for us to see Him. Faith is the way for us to understand Him and His ways. Faith is the way to overcome fear and worry which leads to torment. Faith leads us to eternal life- seeing a true image of Him.
Faith, right now, is the way that leads us to God’s will for our lives (He loves us, He wants the best for us, etc…). Faith in Jesus (His word) is the way. “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”
John 17:3 (ESV)3 And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
Hebrews 11:6 (ESV)6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
Matthew 17:5 (ESV)5 He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.”
Romans 12:2 (ESV)2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Hebrews 11:2–3 (ESV)2 For by it the people of old received their commendation. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.
