A Gift (Receive, Seek, Reveal, Eternal Life)

I was reading scripture, and I was reminded of this truth. God’s perfect will is seen through Jesus’ words and actions (meditate on that and go here Romans 12:2, James 2:18-26). I am reminded, even though his mercy and grace (Matthew 9:13–14, Matthew 12:7) is sufficient (Paul heard from God, He was in the throne room 2 Corinthians 12:9), that same mercy and grace gave us access to the Father (Hebrews 4:16). From this place – the secret place (psalms 91:1-16, Ephesians 2:6, Luke 17:21, John 17:20–23) – He protects, guides, and empowers us and wants us to do good (Romans 6:15–18, Romans 12:2, Hebrews 13:16, Isaiah 40:29–31, 1 Peter 4:10–11). If we look at Jesus’ ministry, we see that He done nothing but good–with power– and we thank Him for that! Father, we thank you for these gifts (receive, seek, and let Him reveal what is inside-eternal life 1 Peter 4:10–11). Do not feel condemned; seek Him like a friend. Thank you, Jesus.

Romans 12:2 (NKJV): 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

James 2:18–26 (NKJV)18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

Hebrews 13:16 (NKJV): 16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Matthew 9:13–14 (NKJV): 13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

Matthew 12:7 (NKJV): 7 But if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV): 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV): 16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Isaiah 40:29–31 (NKJV): 29 He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.

Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)31 But those who wait on the LORD Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

John 16:25–27 (NKJV): 25 “These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; but the time is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but I will tell you plainly about the Father. 26 In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; 27 for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God

1 Peter 4:10–11 (NKJV): 10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

Romans 6:15–18 (NKJV): 15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? 17 But God be thanked that though you were slaves of sin, yet you obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered. 18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.

Ephesians 2:6 (NKJV): 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Luke 17:21 (NKJV): 21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

John 17:20–23 (NKJV): 20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
