Outline after preaching God is NOT the Problem
God’s will, was not for man to fall; rather, to overcome.
- We see this in Genesis (and throughout the Bible, but we will focus on the book of Genesis for now)
- Genesis 1:26-28 (we were made in his image, this is still God’s will),
- Genesis 4:6–7 (even after the fall -before Jesus resurrection-it was God’s will for us to overcome sin and death. Now, thankfully we do it through what Jesus did, we follow the HS, we follow His teachings…
- Genesis 4:10 Clearly it was Cain’s free will that killed his brother, not God’s will.
Genesis 1:26–28 (KJV)26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Genesis 1:26 (NKJV)26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
Genesis 4:6–7 (KJV)6 And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? 7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
Genesis 4:6–7 (NKJV)6 So the LORD said to Cain, “Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? 7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.”
- Sin and death entered through Adam, not God! This is very important.
Romans 5:12 (KJV)12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Romans 5:12–19 (NKJV)12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned—13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. 15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
Genesis 4:10 (KJV)10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother’s blood crieth unto me from the ground.
Genesis 4:10 (NKJV)10 And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.
