“Who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).” Just because some wear suits does not mean that the whole church should operate that same way. We should not get trapped into believing like the Jews of Jesus’ time believed-that in some way they were better than everyone else because of their bloodline, ancestry, social status (appearance, etc…). God’s will is to save everyone. He wants to save the Jew and gentile. He wants to save the rock star; He wants to save the actor. He wants to save the old lady up the street. Indeed, He wants to save the rich man and the poor. The young man who just took an overdose. He wants to save the biker with the tattoos. He wants to give joy and peace to the suicidal teenager–the depressed vets. He wants to save not only from hell but from a lessor way of believing, to bring them-us the body of Christ, the church- to the knowledge of His truth (His words are truth), to give joy, peace, and life to all.
“No more says the Lord. Do not put me in a box of self-belief. Believe in Me and my ways says the Lord. One mind which is found in my Son Jesus. The mind of Christ which says, all are welcome to enter His gates with thanksgiving.”
Acts 20:32 (NKJV): 32 “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
1 Timothy 2:4–7 (NKJV)4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time, 7 for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle—I am speaking the truth in Christ and not lying—a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth.
Romans 15:13 (NKJV)13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
2 Peter 1:2 (NKJV)2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord,
Romans 12:3 (NKJV): 3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.
Psalm 100:4 (NKJV)4 Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
John 17:17 (NKJV): 7 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
