Make no mistake about it, Satan is outnumbered two to one when it comes to archangels on the battlefield. I was talking with someone I pray with and talked about cooperate prayer (people coming together to pray). One of the reasons cooperate prayer has so much power, the will of God is spoken out loud. Notice I said, “the will of God” is spoken out loud? It is very important to pray according to God’s word and His will for our lives.

As we see in Psalms 91, angels do play a part in protecting us (those chosen by God, those in Christ, Christians). Remember what God told me. “Jesus won the war; we win the battles through Him.” It is a powerful reminder of the spiritual significance of our words and prayers. In Daniel 10, the response to Daniel’s prayer highlights the importance of aligning our words with God’s will.
The fact that both Gabriel and Michael were dispatched emphasizes the power prayer can have against our enemy. The Strong’s translate the word Michael meaning, “Who is like God.” As we can see in the book of Jude, Michael did not defeat Satan by using his words. Rather, He used the Lord’s words just like Jesus did when He was tempted. (“It is written”, Matthew 4:1-11). Michael and Gabriel’s chief job is to protect God’s people and make sure God’s words come to pass in our lives. Do our words line up with Jesus’ words or our Father’s will for our lives? I sure hope so because that is what Michael is looking for, “who is like God”, made in His image–children of God. This is why scripture teaches us the importance of controlling our tongue (Matthew 15:11, Proverbs 12:18, Proverbs 21:23, Proverbs 10:19). Angels cannot read our minds like God is able to, they go by the words we speak! Jesus said, “It is written!” Michael says, “The Lord rebuke you!” This is also the reason why we should speak God’s will out loud. To put fear in our enemies and send Satan running scared! Thank you, Jesus!
The Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and the angels of the Lord have our back (1 John 4:4, Psalm 34:7, Daniel 6:22, Daniel 10:12,13,18-19).

[12] Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.
Daniel 10:13
[13] But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia.
Daniel 10:18-19
[18] Then again, the one having the likeness of a man touched me and strengthened me. [19] And he said, “O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!” So when he spoke to me I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak, for you have strengthened me.”
Isaiah 55:11
[11] So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord , thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
