Paul Walker and Protection from God

I wrote parts of this message when Paul Walker’s accident first happen. I edited and published it again.

Reports are surfacing that Paul Walker was a good guy and a Christian. Some might ask, why doesn’t God protect His people? The answer is simple. Make the right decisions, pray for protection, be sensitive, and He will. God does need our help and we need to be sensitive to His voice. This is not a bashing of Paul Walker; I have missed it as well. I am using his example to share truth and protect others. From our perspective, he is still preaching with us. ✌🏼

If Paul Walker was a Christian (he was) and he was shining light onto darkness, there was an enemy out there wanting to dim that light (1 Peter 5:8). The safest place to be is close to God and put on that armor (Ephesians 6:11-13).

Not about Paul Walker: I remember someone telling me a story about a guy who works for him and how he got into a wreck. “Something told me not to go to work.” Later in the conversation, “it must have been God’s will.” This is what I mean by being sensitive to His voice and then be obedient. God was trying to warn him; it was not God’s will for that accident to happen.

“Some people say that you should go to all the parties, to the nightclubs, the Viper Room, and make contacts, and I look at them and say, “You don’t want to have contacts with those people.” Look at what happened to River Phoenix [who died in 1993 of a drug overdose outside the Viper Room]. If you get caught up in that, it ruins you. Hollywood is garbage.” -Paul Walker

“I’m a Christian now. The things that drove me crazy growing up was how everyone works at fault-finding with different religions. The people I don’t understand are atheists. I go surfing and snowboarding and I’m always around nature. I look at everything and think, “Who couldn’t believe there’s a God? Is all this a mistake?” It just blows me away.” — Paul Walker
