Personal Evangelism

“Today is a good day to love the world (John 3:16, Matthew 28:18-20).”

Personal evangelism, showing people the love of Christ through relationship, conversation, praying for the sick, and empowering others to do the same. This can happen anywhere including our job, the store, the park, or anywhere else one might come in contact with people who God loves. Sharing the love of God was and is an essential part of Jesus’ ministry and it should be no different for the body of Christ.

“I talked with a man at a store today. I asked him if he was a Christian and he said, yes. We joked some, He had a walking cane and was hunched over on his cart while he was shopping. Later he was ahead of me at the registers, he walked ahead of me heading out to the parking lot and I asked if I could pray for him. He said yes and I prayed for him.”

Never believe our everyday life is not significant. Jesus did a lot of His ministry going from one place to another (i.e. the woman with the issue of blood, the woman at the well, etc…).

Science

Through experience witnessing, we know many non-believers have raised questions about science and other beliefs they might already have and how it relates to Christianity. We believe Christians should have answers and that is one of the reasons we have studied and included science in personal evangelism.

Scripture

John 3:15–17 (NKJV)15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Matthew 28:18–20 (NKJV)18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

Mark 16: 18 (NKJV)18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
