Pray for the Church!

Peter was in jail (wrongly of course) and Paul wrote two-thirds of the Bible behind bars. Were they criminals? How things look can be deceiving at times and this includes people, ministries, governments, and even current events. With that said, look at what some of these men said in scripture–“pray for me.” They were not puffed up with pride proclaiming who they were (we know Jesus!); rather, they were humble, following Jesus and not hiding the fact that they wanted and required prayer. As a matter of fact, Jesus asked for prayer and spoke to the Father throughout his earthly ministry. He needed His Father!

There are many laborers (an army of sorts) who have to hit the roads; some face a few people while others might have to hide from severe persecution. We need to pray and support them with resources that they need–as never before. Many in this fallen world–including believers–need revival in their lives. They are hurting and as people might become more immoral, so will some governments (the persecution might increase); praying and standing against such things is a good deed. Praying and supporting ministries at all levels and sizes–once led– is also a God idea.

Pray for us! From a ministry perspective, we want and need prayer in several areas and because of God “s grace and His wisdom we are not afraid to ask. Be blessed in all that you do. We love YOU!

Notice in the book of Acts, before the angel came and freed Peter, the church prayed. Well, the rest is history and is found in Acts chapter 12.

Acts 12:5 (ESV): 5 So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.

Acts 12:7–8 (ESV)7 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands. 8 And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself and put on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.”
