Saw a post about the home coming of a friend of mine and made a comment on that post. He was known for going into darkest parts of the world to evangelize; he reminded me of my dad in a lot of ways and at first, we bumped heads. Later, we talked a lot, and I am glad we did.
That post reminded me of the conversation I had about the political climate of this country. Back then there were not as many speaking out as they are now, and the tactical community (military, operators, armed citizens, we the people, etc.) wasn’t as involved, I wanted to hear from him about the divide in this country. He said something profound, “it will either take an armed revolution or a spiritual awakening –a revival– to turn this country around.” I agreed with him because I knew through study that for governments to function correctly, the people must have morals and character.
God is moving, He always does, but it also takes the cooperation of the people–free will. I pray for this country, the political and spiritual leaders, but we have choices to make. Many quote “our weapons are not carnal”, turn around and then say, “pray for our troops” without mentioning the rest of the Bible. There was a time for David to defend Israel physically and I pray it does not come to this, but if we keep heading down the road of the immoral–where people rob, murder, destroy to gain power–we must do something.
God Note: God is bringing revival (He has already started), keep praying for revival to take place in America. Keep our leaders (spiritual, political, military, and “we the people”) in your prayers. As always, if one is a Christian and not sure what to pray, use our prayer for Israel as guide and then let God take over. Be blessed!
