Building on the topic of not judging by appearances (John 7:24), how should Christians treat each other? Scripturally a few words come to mind i.e. family and friends. However, if we take this even further we should look at who is in us and who God called us to be–sons and daughters. If the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are in us, we are heirs according to the promise (Galatians 3:29). It does not matter how rich or poor someone is or what job they might have or what family they came from; what matters is what bloodline they come from NOW. We are children of the most high God, we should treat each other as royalty.
Royalty:
- People of royal blood or status
- Kingship; the character, state or office of a king
Now, that speaks!
John 13:34–35 (NKJV)34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Revelation 1:6–8 (NKJV)6 and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. 7 Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen. 8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
Philippians 2:3–4 (NKJV)3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. 4 Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.
