The Humble are Seated (notes)!

God Note (God spoke this to me before I started on these notes): Walking by faith and in the spirit starts now (every time you wake up, every time you go to bed, every time you preach, every time you teach, every time you lay hands on the sick, every time you come to me for help, every time you seek me for answers). After a while, in this fallen world, it’s how we live–by faith.

  • Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV)6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Humble (Romans 8:17, 2 Chronicles 7:14–15, Proverbs 11:2, 1 Peter 5:5–7)

The biblical definition of humble is those who humble themselves under God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit). Example: Submit to God (scripture, God’s word John 17:17), resist the devil, and he will flee (John 4:7).

John 17:17–19 (NKJV)17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. 18 As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

Luke 14:10–11 (NKJV): 10 But when you are invited, go and sit down in the lowest place, so that when he who invited you comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, go up higher.’ Then you will have glory in the presence of those who sit at the table with you. 11 For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

2 Chronicles 7:14–15 (NKJV)14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.

Proverbs 11:2 (NKJV)2 When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the humble is wisdom.

1 Peter 5:5–7 (NKJV)5 Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for “God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble.” 6 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

Sons of God (Jesus was called Son Matthew 3:17, Philippians 2:5-11 Jesus called God-Father)

Joint Heirs (Romans 8:12–17)

Romans 8:12–17 (NKJV)12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. 13 For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” 16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

Ephesians 4:2–6 (NKJV)2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Made righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 5:19)

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV)21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Romans 5:19 (NKJV)19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

Luke 10:18–19 (NKJV)18 And He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Seated in heavenly Places (Ephesians 2:6–10)

Romans 8:29–30 (NKJV)29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Ephesians 2:6–10 (NKJV)6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

Joint Heirs (Romans 8:12–17, 1 Peter 5:5–7 humble ourselves under God, due time he will raise us up)

The Humble Overcome

Psalm 110:1 (NKJV)1 The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

Hebrews 1:13–14 (NKJV)13 But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

Revelation 5:10 (NKJV) 10 And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”

Philippians 2:5–11 (NKJV)5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. 9 Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father

Servant (Philippians 2:5–13)

God Notes: Loving God leads us to loving others correctly Great men and women of God help-or serve- people! Why? They love like Him.

  • We cannot love people correctly without knowing who God is–love.
  • Jesus’ examples, Let this mind be in you (Philippians 2:5–13)
  • Kenneth Copeland Example (when he picked up the cable to help the camera lady)
  • Jesus Helped People, Jesus Helped Start Ministries that helped people (compound interests of souls *smile*)

Matthew 20:25–28 (NKJV)25 But Jesus called them to Himself and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. 26 Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. 27 And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave—28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”

Matthew 28:18–20 (NKJV)18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
