Trials and a Perfect Jesus

Jesus was perfect in every way yet faced many trials. Why? Sometimes true Love has a hard time in a fallen world. Our trials come from fallen angels, a fallen world (where bad things can happen), fallen minds (people who do not walk in Love), our decisions, and our mistakes. Satan comes in and tries to steal the word (which is God, the image of God we have in mind); he–the father of lies– tries to blame God for our problems. Sadly, many Christians buy into this garbage. This is why it is important to know God and have faith in His goodness (if we know Him, we know He is good).

Hebrews 12:3 (NKJV)3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.

1 John 4:16 (NKJV)16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

1 John 2:4–6 (NKJV)4 He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.

Mark 4:14–20 (NKJV)14 The sower sows the word. 15 And these are the ones by the wayside where the word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the word that was sown in their hearts. 16 These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the word, immediately receive it with gladness; 17 and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the word’s sake, immediately they stumble. 18 Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, 19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. 20 But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”

John 10:10 (NKJV)10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

John 1:1–2 (NKJV)1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God.
